You can follow numerous hiking trails and find yourself immersed in the tranquility of the mountains with all their various facets, especially if you decide to opt for the Watles ski resort with its 18 km of slopes.
On the border with Switzerland and Austria, you will find stunning views and unspoiled landscapes with lush nature, such as the Stelvio National Park, rich with a wide variety of animal species.
With the arrival of winter, the ski slopes come alive with tourists from all over the world, attracted by high-quality facilities and, above all, by a breathtaking surrounding landscape.
We offer a shuttle service that takes you directly to the site each day, allowing you to enjoy a wonderful experience on the snow without the stress of having to use your own transport.
Similarly, in the evening, we will be waiting to bring you back to base so that you can enjoy a well-deserved rest in the warmth.
In this fairy-tale setting lies the Watles ski resort, an area of excellence in terms of hospitality and its advantageous location.
In a short time, you can reach the city of Merano, an exceptional meeting point of diverse cultures influenced by both Italy and neighboring countries.
Near Christmas, the city center streets come alive with charming themed markets where you can purchase local handcrafted products and also taste some of the region’s most typical dishes.
Val Venosta is nestled between two mountain ranges, the Ortles-Cevedale to the south and the Ötztal Alps to the north, which protect the interior as much as possible from weather disturbances, making the area much less rainy than it might otherwise be.
The altitude reached by the mountain chains is nearly 4000 meters, but it is certainly possible to enjoy pleasant walks at much lower altitudes, where snow can still be found in winter and lush nature is typical in other seasons.
Scattered across the area, you will find numerous restaurants and huts where you can select delicious meat-based menus and typical local products that you won’t find anywhere else nearby.
Ski facilities spanning 211 km throughout the area, a varied food and wine offer in all seasons, and a comfortable and welcoming hotel, where you can find a wide range of services, including wellness and trails specifically designed for guests both in summer and winter.
In the same way, it will be enjoyable to move onto the snow as soon as it covers the slopes, allowing you to learn how to handle the easier slopes and, over time, even the more challenging ones.
You will indeed find practice fields suitable for beginners and children as well as steeper descents, appropriate only for those with some experience and who know well how to handle the mountains and their challenges.
